When you’re on television or on stage, what you wear matters. Too overdone and you detract from your message. Not done up enough and you fade into the background. You want to create a credible, authentic and engaging presence that reinforces your message. In this video I share some key tips to looking great on camera and in person when you’re in front of an audience. You can use these tips for big meetings and everyday too.
When I appear on TV or attend a speaking event, I always think about my topic, venue and audience. When I appeared on “Live with Kelly and Michael” the producers wanted me in pajamas. Yikes! No amount of previous TV experience prepared me for shopping for attractive, non-slutty, fitted pajamas! It took some time and some discussion with others and I got my own media training before that appearance – and it paid off! I nailed it and the segment turned out great.
Put the same thought and consideration into your own appearance and it can really make a difference in how your message is received – and if you’re invited to be back on the show again! Here is a quick video to help you know what to wear on stage and TV.
