Book Review – Confessions of a Fat Runner

honeyrideAs an avid reader, writer and author coach, I love sharing great books with my peeps – so when I saw the title of the new book by Jennifer Graham, I knew I had to read it (and share it with you).

Published by Breakaway BooksHONEY, DO YOU NEED A RIDE? CONFESSIONS OF A FAT RUNNER is a hilarious memoir of what it’s like to run with the gazelles when your shadow looks more like a walrus, and how running can get you through divorce, runaway donkeys, single motherhood, and size 14 jeans that won’t zip.

Sounds pretty funny right?

Jennifer’s book is a hilarious but powerful book that is so relateable and real. She has experienced the stuff that so many women do and talks about it all in a way that makes you laugh, question and wonder if you should just go for it even when the world says you shouldn’t.

Now I admit I am not a runner. I have tried running and it’s not pretty. If you’ve seen the episode of Friends where Rachel and Phoebe go running you’ll understand what I mean. If you need a good laugh, get Jennifer’s book and then watch Rachel and Phoebe running in the video below. (And just imagine my face on a plumper, shorter version of Phoebe and that’s pretty much how I look when I run!)
