I absolutely LOVE this Psychology Today article that Linda Wasmer Andrews wrote about gardening. She shares nine ways it can relieve stress – and it just happens to include some insight from me!
I know that when I dig in the dirt or even just go outside my energy shifts. I naturally slow down and become more aware of my surroundings. Maybe it’s because I’m constantly on the look out for centipedes and silverfish bugs (my two biggest insect fears) or always subconsciously feeling the breeze stimulate me. I don’t know and I don’t care.
What I do know is that when springtime rolls around up here in Minnesota it sure feels good to get outside into the garden!
